I think it’s actually a quite remarkable English translation comparing with others… they actually wrote one English scxt to match the ideas expressed in Chinese, not just Google translated it.

That's the magic with Chinese languages. It's so cryptic a lot of meanings are lost in the translation. Back when paper wasn't invented in China, people used to write on bamboo scrolls. Those things are heavy and writing spaces were limited, so they had to invent a language and grammar around it. So technically Chinese languages are born as a result of compressing multiple ideas into a few words. Notice how I say Chinese languages as a plural instead of singular? Because there is not one singular Chinese language, Chinese languages is a large collection of languages from different regions in China. You have Cantonese, Hokkien, Hakka, Teochew..etc. All are older Chinese languages compared to the de facto 'Mandarin' that is only 400 years old. Therefore you could find Japanese pronounciation of Kanji is largely similar to older Chinese languages because they were imported to Japan around the same period as they were spoken. No such thing as a Chinese 'dialect', that was just the Manchurian Chinese government trying to secure their position as the ruler by solidifying their linguistics as the original one. Mandarin is just a Chinese language modified so Northerners and Manchurians could speak it.
