- YU7 Standard: 35,350 USD (30,200 euros)
- YU7 Max (the spec we drove in our video): 46,000 USD (39,300 euros)
- YU7 Pro: 39,000 USD (33,329 euros)
In other words, I nailed it! Keep in mind that the Tesla Model Y is priced between 36,750 USD (for a RWD model) and 43,725 USD (for a dual motor long-range) here in China.
At those prices, which would you prefer, Model Y or YU7?
CORRECTION: During the test drive event, I was told by representatives from xiaomi that the air suspension would be an added cost option on the Pro, so that’s what I reported in my video. However, it turns out that air suspension is a standard feature on both the Pro and Max trim levels. I regret the error!

I actually visited there factory during the test drive event for the YU7, and I can confirm that it is not a "lights-out factory". There was plenty of automation, but the lights were on and there were plenty of humans walking around doing stuff.

As a Chinese individual, my honest observation is that while we are proud of our countries' progress, there are still many people who don't trust electric cars (including my family), so still many customers would choose German cars. My optimal choice would be a Shengyang-made BMW 3 series, best BMW plant in the world. And happily, because of the competition in China, all German cars are much more cheaper now. You could by a BMW 330i for 32,000 to 40,000 USD

This really is the electric Ferrari Purosangue with some McLaren at the front and KIA EV6 at the back, but I don't mind that. I really love how it looks, especially in this amazing green. Not being into SUVs, I would go for the SU7, but xiaomi still simply nailed the YU7. This is the way you do EVs in 2025—800V platform, new tech, integration with smart home. I like how you can add different attachments to the inside, and the infotainment is simply next level.
Hope to see xiaomi bring the SU7 and YU7 to Europe and that the SU7 gets some of the YU7 upgrades.

I talked to a su7 sales and looked at su7 max and pro. They said they may eventually begin to work on North America market (also software localization) but sounds like that’s far and really at low priority. Thanks to US and Canadian joint effort of putting us at end of that wait queue.
